Screenprinting Update
You're probably wondering..
Where did the screenprinting go? Well, it's not around for the moment, but it's coming back. we're joining a group of screen printing homies at a new lab. And it's still getting set up.
But when it does - and when we get our teaching staff and schedule all worked out - there will be some new screen printing classes offered, namely:
- a six week master screen printing course
- a tee shirt screen printing class
We'll also be keeping around some old standards - Photo and Non-Photo Screen printing. But let's call them "Screen printing on Paper" and "Screen printing at home."
I can see you raising your hand over there. you want to know when right? Well, I can tell you that it will be going on by June - hopefully earlier.
And by the way - thank you, thank you, thank you to Lobot Gallery for being so kick ass and letting us host a weekly night at their Screen Printing Lab for the past TWO YEARS!!!

Are you an artist? Do you teach?
Got this email from the Alameda County Arts Commission and thought it'd be good to pass along...
Teaching artists and community artists interested in teaching in schools are invited to participate in conversations about new opportunities for professionalizing the field of teaching artists and current steps to re-energize Teaching Artists Organized (TAO) to support the resource needs of teaching artists. The gatherings are free and new ideas and feedback are encouraged. Information collected at the meetings and through the attached survey link will be used to evaluate the needs of local teaching artists and guide future planning.

we're glad you were there!
thanks to everyone who came to rock out for rps at the benefit show yesterday -- for donning rain-gear, buying 12-packs, sharing your licorice rope, showing up, and most of all, showing your support.

every thing you do helps RPS get back in the swing of things post-break-in, whether that's donating your living space for the event (thanks carey, amanda, aaron, and all of the boat parking house!), cooking super tasty vegan tacos (thanks Digestive Systems Catering, mmmmmm), or drawing out a crowd by playing music (extra special thanks to maus haus, kreamy lectric santa, wave and particle, saything, and miguel and rosie (who came out sick as can be on her birthday no less!).
you all made it a really awesome afternoon!
